Duties of Editors

Decision on Publication of Articles

The Editor-in-Chief of ADIL is responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted should be published. The Editor-in-Chief may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and subject to legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The Editor-in-Chief may consult with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.

Review of Manuscripts

Each manuscript is initially evaluated by the editor/co-editor and may be checked using appropriate software to ensure originality. After passing the initial screening, the manuscript is forwarded to two referees for blind peer review. Each reviewer provides recommendations to accept, revise, or reject the manuscript. The review process generally takes at least one month, depending on the quality of the article.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor’s own research without written consent from the author.

Fair Play

Manuscripts are evaluated solely on intellectual merit without regard to the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.

Confidentiality

Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, and the publisher.

Duties of Reviewers

Promptness

Reviewers who feel unqualified or unable to complete a review in time must notify the editor so the manuscript can be reassigned.

Confidentiality

Information regarding submitted manuscripts must be kept confidential and treated as privileged.

Standards of Objectivity

Reviews must be conducted objectively, with clear supporting arguments, and without personal criticism of the author.

Acknowledgement of Sources

Reviewers should identify relevant published work not cited by the authors and notify the editor of any substantial similarity with other published papers.

Conflict of Interest

Reviewers must not review manuscripts where they have conflicts of interest arising from relationships with the authors or affiliated institutions.

Duties of Authors

Reporting Standards

Authors must present accurate accounts of their work and provide sufficient details to allow replication. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements are unethical.

Data Access and Retention

Authors may be required to provide raw data for editorial review and retain such data for a reasonable time after publication.

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must ensure their work is original and appropriately cite the work and words of others.

Multiple Publications

Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time or publish redundant research.

Acknowledgement of Sources

Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given, and all influential publications must be cited.

Authorship of the Paper

Authorship should be limited to those who made significant contributions. All significant contributors should be listed as co-authors, while others may be acknowledged.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

All authors must disclose financial or other conflicts of interest that may influence the research. All sources of financial support should be declared.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works

If authors discover significant errors in their published work, they must promptly inform the editor or publisher to correct or retract the article.

ADIL does not tolerate plagiarism in any form. Plagiarism is a serious breach of academic ethics and will be dealt with seriously. The editorial and reviewer board actively works to prevent publication malpractice and ensure academic integrity.
